Wildcats take home gold!
The Shakopee Wildcats 12U Tennis Team took first place at the USTA Northern Section Sectionals Tournament August 8th. The team won the tournament by winning their respective pool play and then going on to defeat Anoka, Sioux Falls and Lifetime-Moore Lake to win the overall title.
The Wildcats team members are Austin Nichols, Ben Forbes, Donovan Malsom, Alex Mooney, Dannick Boyogueno, Grace Sperr and Christine Yost.
USTA Team Tennis is a total games won format made up of boy's and girl's singles, boy's doubles, girl's doubles and mixed doubles. The USTA Northern Section is made up of teams from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Western Wisconsin.
The Wildcats are coached by Mark Johnson, Steve Luukkonen, Ford Rolfrud and Adam Solseth
